One of the core goals of (clinical) research is to provide solid and verifiable evidence to advance knowledge. While much attention has been given to ensuring robustness through methodological advances, in this article, I argue that a greater focus on the overall transparency of research processes and outputs would benefit both the verifiability and robustness of research findings. To support this argument, I explain and expand on several new methodological advances advocated by Open Science scholars which, I argue, would benefit clinical and biological research.
