The COME:ON! program is a partnership between eleven youth-led organizations from seven European cities. This initiative was supported by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (the Erasmus+ program) as part of the European Youth Together 2019 program. Between January 2020 and December 2021, a series of mobility programs with young members of the organizations was planned, with the view to supporting their involvement in local community projects, including the occupation of vacant buildings. For the organizations, the project was an opportunity to consolidate their efforts by organizing European meetings in their places of activity. How do the dynamics of youth initiatives at the heart of a mobility program evolve in the context of the health crisis? The aim of this article is to explain the translocal perspective on which this partnership is based, in a context of intensive institutional support for mobility. The issue of recognizing the European value of local community activities is also studied. This process seems to facilitate the establishment of translocal actions between organizations, which can give rise to forms of commitment with varying degrees of synchronization between young people from different countries. Finally, the translocalization of the occupation of vacant places by youth organizations is analyzed to open up other avenues for research and future action.
