Transcultural validation of the Avicenne ELAL in dialectal Arabic (Algeria)
Type de matériel :
72
The Avicenne ELAL was developed to shed light on the dysfunctional ways in which language functions in plurilingual contexts, to establish the existence of real linguistic skills in a foreign language, to avoid putting children who have not had the benefit of good immersion in French into a pathological category, and to promote the linguistic resources available in the mother tongue. This test was carried out in Algeria on twenty Arabic speakers (aged four years and seven months to five years and eleven months), thus confirming its sensitivity and providing insight into the Algerian sociolinguistic context.
