Léon Bopp has regularly corresponded with Jean Paulhan since the 1930s. His letters express the frustration of a border writer in search of a recognition which does not come. A questionable critic and an original novelist, Bopp has been able to feed Paulhan’s reflections on the becoming of the novelistic genre, not for all that offering them an outcome.
