On ‘Epilinguistic’ Discourse: Subjectivity, Imagination, and Fantasizing about Language
Type de matériel :

"The study of discourse on languages and language, usually carried out under cover of studying ""representations"" or the ""linguistic imagination"", is inseparable from the study of actual language practices. We propose broaching ""epilinguistics"" from the viewpoint of speech acts that include the outlooks and methods of the sociology of language (discourse, dialogism, interaction, enunciation...). We seek to show that interdiscursive fluctuations, as part and parcel of epilinguistic activity, stem from the subconscious workings of subjectivation: discourses on language are one of its many metaphors."
