Body commitment and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in the co-design of an initial training in saddlery

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2022. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : In work situations, when the body’s commitment to action, observable through professional gestures, proves to be deleterious, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) can occur to the detriment of individuals and organizations. As part of a primary prevention that aims to reduce this risk, the French Institute of Horse and Riding has ordered us videos for the training of saddlers-harnessers, which allow this concern to be integrated into the practices of trainers. Our objective is to show how, by setting up an iterative and participatory process of co-designing these artefacts, we have sought to reorient their gaze towards taking these risks into account, despite the impossibility of have access to real work situations in companies. The clinical analysis of an allo-confrontation session, led by the researcher, highlights the determinants of the gesture, some of which are risk factors, prudent know-how, the start of transformations in the representations of some of them, but also obstacles to these changes. While these results guide the content of future videos, they are also conversion factors that can promote or hinder the ability of trainers to appropriate these resources and which should be taken into account.
