Deaf sign-language-speakers encounter obstacles to medical care, and this population has poorer health indicators than the general population. The aim of this study is to take stock of the existing international, national, and regional systems. A first article described the establishment of the reception and care units for the Deaf (Unités d’accueil et de soins pour personnes Sourds) in France and proposed a narrative literature review so that the action taken could be compared with that taken in other developed countries. This second article describes the French system, the actors, and the aims, as well as highlighting what remains of the community health model which contributed to the setting up of the first French systems.
