During the “1968 years,” the Situationist International acted as an interface, conveying radical ideas in Europe and across the Atlantic. Its history led it to play the role of a go-between for artistic avant-garde circles and extreme left-wing movements. This article aims to map situationist networks. It also raises the question of intellectual, material, and political conditions of possibility for the circulation and reception of situationist ideas.
