Africa experienced many revolts and revolutions during the 1960s, and young people took an active part in these. This paper explores the dissemination of activist knowledge and practice, using three examples: the Federation des étudiants d’Afrique noire en France (Black African Students Federation in France, FEANF), which was a major crossroads widely contributing to disseminating Marxism; the activists’ journeys, a form of circulation for men, texts, and concepts; and finally, cinema, which produced rebellious identifications for the jobless youth.
