This article takes a cultural look at HR managers’ attitudes to diversity. Thirty-five HR managers from multinationals in the Netherlands and Morocco took part in a qualitative survey. The GLOBE study was used as an analytical framework. Thirty-five in-depth, semi-structured interviews with HR managers were conducted and analyzed by the use of content analysis. The findings suggest that attitudes toward diversity are changing and that culture plays an important role in this. The findings stress the importance of tradition in the Moroccan context.
