“In business for two years already”: Story of a young homeless dreamer and entrepreneur

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2022. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This study is original, given: the nature of its subject—a young homeless entrepreneur; its theoretical framework—theory of effectuation and imaginary; its qualitative approach—study of a case over time; and its field methodology—street ethnography, recorded and unregistered interviews, and use of Facebook. This study aims to test the effectuation theory through ethnography in an unexplored field: entrepreneurship in the case of homeless youth. It aims to understand the role of imagination and dreams both in the act of doing business in general and, in particular, in the case of homeless youth getting off the street. Theories of the imagination lead to developments likely to enrich the effectuation theories applied to entrepreneurship and to a better understanding of the conditions of young people in difficulty.
