Could hetero-lingual literature contribute to the poetics of translation? While moving away from linguistics to the theories of enunciation and afterwards delving into the rhetoric analysis of ethos, our investigation shall end with the study of an excerpt from Hijo de hhombre, a Guarani-Spanish novel by Paraguayan author Augusto Roa Bastos (1917–2005). The three French versions expand on the hypothesis that every translation is an act of re-enunciation in which the relation to linguistic otherness is replayed.
