Did Ignatius of Loyola have a doctrine on the family? This article examines the point of view of the founder of the Jesuits on the family and the place which it occupies in Christian life. The author rereads the experience which Ignatius acquired in the midst of his own family relationships, and then looks at how the saint applied his ideas on the family in his government of the Society of Jesus and in his teaching.
