This article examines the weight of media legitimacy and institutional legitimacy within the political arena. It shows how politicians play both sides using the example of Bruno Le Maire. The media coverage of this politician owes much to a series of publications that were well received by the media. Journalists consider the works of Bruno Le Maire to be well written and valuable for the light they shed on the political arena. At the same time, they are building the figure of the writer-politician, accentuating the trend towards individualization of the political field.
