A dynamic and cognitive approach to entrepreneurs, their projects, and their constraints: Reflections from a field intervention.

After a field intervention with a group of entrepreneurs, we noticed that dynamic phenomena, which are consistently nonlinear, cause changes to their entrepreneurial projects. These phenomena are related to the heterogeneous elements to be managed and to the uncertainty inherent to this type of project. Although the entrepreneurs were involved, they did not have a clear plan or their original plan was quickly abandoned when a problem arose. This paper seeks to offer a reflection on the facts observed in the field, specifically on the entrepreneurial project and its constraints. Using a cognitive approach to entrepreneurship and a systems dynamics approach, we propose a useful framework for anticipating the emergence of performance constraints in entrepreneurial projects.
