Wearable cameras: Devices to understand and remediate autobiographical memory in schizophrenia
Type de matériel :

Autobiographical memory disorders are well described in schizophrenia. Current research on patients’ memory impairments aims to: 1) better understand the cognitive processes responsible for those difficulties, and 2) develop new methods to palliate autobiographical memory disorders in schizophrenia. The present review describes how the use of wearable cameras in research or therapeutic protocols can push the research forward. We discuss ethical issues inherent in the use of new technologies, the feasibility of protocols using wearable cameras in psychiatry (in particular with schizophrenic patients), and the subjective experience of patients participating in such protocols.
