Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy: What, How, and Why
Type de matériel :

This paper is aimed to investigate further the relationships between psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. After discussing the “what,” “why” and “how” of these treatment methods, we showed that present psychotherapy practice pays little attention to many well established principles of the classic theory of technique. This seems to result from changing cultural backgrounds and ethical values leading to decreasing emphasis on the neurosis issue rather than from new psychodynamics of contemporary mental illness.
