A torrent is born from a glacier, shapes a valley with the help of its tributaries, and finishes its course by abandoning itself to the river it meets. To its adventure is added the one of a water molecule which circulates on the planet on the surface of the ground, at the bottom of the ocean, under ground or in the air. The text that relates these journeys is written alternately as a poetic description and as a chapter of an essay. The two modes were just asking to be united. Union which is based on that, which the author calls of his wishes, of the intelligible and the sensitive. An educated perception is possible, where, to the spectacle of the world that our senses deliver to us, is incorporated a scientific knowledge which is not at all the enemy. Thus the landscape is enriched by the intense invisible physical life that continuously creates it.
