Rival public diplomacies in the Ukrainian crisis

The Ukrainian crisis has brought to light the key role played by international news networks as instruments of public diplomacy in times of war. This article considers the role of media in the asymmetrical conflict between Russia and Ukraine, through the prism of two media networks: RT and Ukraine Today. It analyzes the operation and the dissemination strategies of the two organizations, as well as their opposing narratives and political rationales.
