Ainsi l’homoousios, loin d’être une notion abstraite de la théologie trinitaire, peut donner des repères, en ce jubilé de l’incarnation, pour approfondir la médiation du Christ et la manière dont le chrétien vit de la providence paternelle.

Athanasius understands the Trinitarian affirmation of the unity of the providence of the Father and the Son through the question of the receptivity of the incarnate Son. Thus homoousios, far from being an abstract notion of Trinitarian theology, offers, in this jubilee of the Incarnation, points of reference for a deeper understanding of Christ’s mediation and of the way in which the Christian lives from paternal providence.
