Emotions and School-based Learning: Implications for Teacher Training

Over the past thirty years, the study of emotions in education has emerged as a major theme in research on school-based learning. The manifestations of emotions, their contributions and their connection to motivation or learning strategies are beginning to be explored. Meanwhile, references to emotions in school curricula have been increasing. This article, which draws on scientific data and academic curricula, argues in favour of combining these two perspectives and outlines the implications for teacher training.
