It will be necessary to define its meaning in an economic context that has undergone significant changes, mutations and upheavals in the French social structure over the last 40 years. We try to distinguish between industrial reconversions and voluntary professional reconversions. We show that although training applies differently in both situations, it nevertheless holds a predominant place in professional changes.
