Preservice teachers: Epistemological beliefs and beliefs about learning and teaching
Type de matériel :
52
Current educational literature assumes a link between epistemological beliefs and beliefs about learning and teaching holding an opposed internal beliefs structure. Results gathered with a sample of 189 preservice teachers show that this hypothesis isn’t valid. It should be replaced by a hypothesis of multiple and complementary beliefs. A latent class analysis shows that different belief profiles exist. These results are discussed to identify implications for research and teacher education.
