En analysant quatre expériences récentes de caisses de grève (postier·ères, femmes de chambre, cheminot·es, cagnotte interprofessionnelle), l’article entend éclairer la cohérence qui relie à chaque fois les dimensions matérielles et cognitives de la solidarité avec les grévistes. Il saisit cette cohérence à travers le concept de dispositif configurateur de solidarité, entendu comme un dispositif militant adressé aux potentiels soutiens et produisant une configuration spécifique de solidarité, qui articule un dispositif de sensibilisation, des sources de financement, un ancrage social des donateur·rices et une signification donnée au don. Trois configurations distinctes sont ainsi mises en lumière : mouvement ouvrier traditionnel, alliance politique ad hoc et bloc social interclassiste. Pour ce faire, l’article s’appuie sur différents matériaux : publications syndicales, données budgétaires, messages de soutien et questionnaires biographiques.

By analysing four recent experiences of solidarity strike funds (postal workers, room maids, railway workers, and an inter-professional fund), the paper sheds light on the coherence linking the material and cognitive dimensions of solidarity with strikers. It grasps this coherence through the concept of solidarity-configuring device, understood as a militant device addressed to potential supporters and producing a specific configuration of solidarity that articulates a sensitising device, sources of financing, the social anchoring of donors, and the meaning attributed to the donation. Three distinct configurations are highlighted: the traditional workers’ movement, an ad hoc political alliance, and an interclassist social bloc. The paper draws on a variety of materials: trade-union publications, budgetary data, messages of support and biographical questionnaires.
