Posted work: An autonomous system

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2022. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Posting represents a growing dimension of intra-European mobility. This article provides an analysis of posted work, based on transnational research conducted among Portuguese workers in the construction sector in France, including forty-five interviews and observations. Inspired by the theory of social regulation (Reynaud), our approach considers posted work as a social system, opposed to collective bargaining. The result of the analysis of the posting process shows a shift from migration to mobility characterised by difficult working conditions, tacit negotiations and agreements. Instead of considering posting as informal employment, we would like to show that it creates its own rules that need to be considered as much as the legal elements in order to understand the increasing propensity to use these workers.
