The purpose of this article is to investigate risk management mechanisms when the investment model adopted is crowdfunding. The point of view adopted is that of creators of crowdfunding platforms. The main results of the study are the following. The investment community’s contribution to the selection and assessment of projects is prevailing. Shareholders also participate in an entrepreneurial adventure through their direct investments, downgrading their demands in terms of short-term profitability. Generally risk-aware, they purchase securities after gathering information from entrepreneurs and the financial intermediary.
