Our consultations are a part of our daily life. According to whether or not they are accompanied by the mentalization necessary for their preparation, realization and consequences, they contribute either to the development of our personnality, or to its impoverishment (manifested by certain forms of fatigue among others), and wich can be compared to that occurring in operatory functioning. From two examples ( OS and executives) studied by a group of socio-psychoanalysts, the place given to the consultation and its capacity to change reality, similar to that of contributing in return to the psychical development of individuals, is presented in the framework of the particular setting, the institutional setting.
