The “new” educational issues: Construction of the object
Type de matériel :

This article proposes a contribution to the notion of “new” educational issues that question the public construction of a number of school “problems” and the forms of their designation and management. We question the contributions of the sociology of public problems in order to capture, in a coherent set, a certain number of objects that create problems at school: violence at school, dropping out of school, secularism in schools, gender and education, etc. The work around this notion and the objects related to it also lead us to question the evolution of the field of research by education and debates on the legitimacy of the objects that animate it, in the light of their social context.
