This article examines how networks on the “Aryan” side of Warsaw secretly helped Jews in hiding. It also discusses the number of Jews the Żegota Jewish Aid Commission was able to assist and did in fact help. The analysis includes examples of how the aid was organized, specifically with respect to the assignments carried out by liaison officers and the commission’s financial capacities.
