Community consultations are marked by striking power and knowledge asymmetries which enable the rearrangement of humans and lands at the expense of inhabitants and to the advantage of investors. This article thus contributes to the geography of power, highlighting the spatialities which power shapes and relies on. It locates land dispossession in long-term history and geography.
