This article analyzes the supply and commercialization chain of cassava leaves in Kinshasa, whereas most research focuses on other cassava value chains. To do so, an empirical study was carried out among direct and indirect actors at various levels of the cassava leaf value chain. The results show that the production and the commercialization of the leaves are profitable in the current conditions of the area studied, since all expenses are covered by revenue, with a fair profit margin, regardless of the variety of cassava leaf, and of sales period and location. However, processing is the activity which generates the most value; as a consequence, the processors are those taking the greatest share of this profit.
