Competitive Intelligence Networks: Ethics as a Core Question in Organizational Issues

In the field of competitive intelligence, strategies based on networks are highly recommended for implementing more efficient devices and leverage the operational capability of the company. This discourse is generally based on a passionate belief, which finds support in a solid body of research, showing the relevance and efficiency of networks. However, the effectiveness of such devices is in danger of being severely undermined if the observance of ethical rules is not placed at the heart of the action. Although charters of good practices are a common response to this problem, they are not enough. Considering the work of a group of US researchers, we discuss possible ways of strengthening the ethics of network intelligence strategies.
