Patents as a Source of Strategic Information: The Case of Inventive Activity in Morocco

This paper aims to show how patent analysis can generate strategic information. The methodological approach is qualitative, based on a study of the patent market in Morocco. Its purpose is to analyze from a strategic management perspective the actions carried out in this area. To this end, interviews were conducted with the main stakeholders in the patent market in Morocco in order to collect the required data. The paper is organized as follows: a first part describes the current state of patents; the second part presents the methodology used in patent analysis, while the third and final part focuses on patent analysis in Morocco.
