The Management of Strategic Networks in Public Procurement

This study shows the process used by a company to identify business networks in order to create collaboration in obtaining public contracts. We represent graphically the network of such alliances for 2008. We first identify 1,360 strategic networks whose structural organization looks like a social network, followed by the main resource providers. These results prompt us to propose a network map that allows for the identification of a new application of competitive intelligence.
