Twenty years after Philippe D’Iribarne’s work on the influence of Islam in management practices in Morocco, this paper investigates the impact of religious reference points on employee performance in Morocco, a highly religious country. To test the research hypotheses, we used the structural equation modeling technique with AMOS. The results show that adherence to Islamic ethics at work explains the job performance of the respondents while controlling for their age, gender, level of education, and position.
