In a context of social protests (boycott movement, the social movement in Al Hoceima, etc.), companies are increasingly challenged about their CSR commitment and their social accountability toward the territories where they operate. Indeed, they are currently being asked to acknowledge the new position of all local stakeholders (local associations, local population, etc.) and to recognize the legitimacy of their claims, which are now part of a constructivist approach to territories, in which all stakeholders must work together to ensure the expected territorial development. This awareness should, without fail, be translated into an action plan and a strategy integrated into companies’ business models. Based on a single case study, our research explores the experience of a mining industrial group in terms of CSR practices. We use several forms of analysis to question certain local stakeholders, with two objectives: to obtain an overview of the actions carried out by the OCP group at the Safi site, at the level of the territorial municipality Ouled Salmane; and to analyze their expectations and perceptions regarding the social commitments of the OCP group.
