Employee mobility and performance of public-sector companies in Francophone Africa: An analysis of the case of CAMWATER in Cameroon
Type de matériel :
21
The paper deals with the issue of employee mobility in relation to the performance of state-owned companies in Africa, focusing on the specific case of CAMWATER. It takes a qualitative approach, using data from documents and field sources. The results of our manual and automated content analysis reveal that practices related to skills and environment mobility involve organizational and human challenges. However, this configuration remains more theoretical than operational, due to numerous organizational constraints and sources of managerial inefficiency such as an unclear definition of the criteria for mobility, staff longevity in a job, etc.
