Entrepreneurial success has been the subject of a proliferation of scientific research. The scientific community has called for an exploration of the subjective perception of entrepreneurial success. The following research will therefore explore the determinants of entrepreneurial success by focusing on women’s perceptions. Following a qualitative study carried out with fifteen women entrepreneurs, we processed the results using the thematic content analysis method. The results show that education, work experience, skills, personality traits, motivations, husband support, and network positively influence women’s success. Furthermore, it was found that socio-cultural dynamics related to “gender” influence the entrepreneurial success of Senegalese women.
