The design of academic conversation: The establishment of an editorial format

This paper analyzes the design of an experimental editorial format, whose objective is to bring together the social regime of conversation and the documentary regime of knowledge. Conceived as a new artifact for academic communication within the journal Sens public, this conversational format aims at reinstating the reading and writing practices of the digital environment, which have developed outside of academic institutions. Using Louise Merzeau’s theoretical works, we open some pathways for an editorialization of the conversation, suitable for the establishment of a common space of knowledge and for a collective hermeneutic.
