In this article the authors present their experience of the different stages of setting up a training course in familial systemic therapy in Senegal. They argue the appropriateness of this way of treatment in Senegalese society and the changes they estimated necessary in the therapeutic and training framework. They also discuss the issue of training in a multicultural context based on the experience of the European trainer and the Senegalese students.
