RésuméToutes les notes de terrain se rapportant à l’ethnographie des Tsiganes rendent compte des difficultés particulières rencontrées, à un moment ou un autre de la recherche, mais aussi des problèmes liés à la divulgation d’images et surtout de textes les concernant, sans qu’ils en aient la maîtrise. Plutôt que de continuer à rechercher comment s’est construite une spécificité, mieux vaut s’intéresser à la place de chaque communauté tsigane dans la société globale.

All field notes referring to the ethnography of the Gypsies speak of the particular difficulties encountered, at one time or another, in the course of the research, but also of the problems linked with the publication of pictures and, in particular, of texts concerning them, to the extent that they are not in control. Rather than continuing to analyse how some specificity came into being, it would be better to concentrate on the place that each Gypsy community occupies in society at large.

ZusammenfassungAlle Arbeitsnotizen in Bezug auf die Ethnographie der Zigeuner sprechen von besonderen Schwierigkeiten, die früher oder später während des Projektes auftreten, aber auch von Problemen hinsichtlich der Veröffentlichung von Bildern und besonders von Zigeuner betreffenden Texten, soweit dies nicht in der Hand letzterer liegt. Besser als die Fortführung einer Untersuchung darüber, wie sich eine Besonderheit entwickelt hat, ist es, sich um den Platz zu kümmern, den jede Zigeunergemeinde in der Gesellschaft allgemein einnimmt.
