‪Le présent article s’intéresse au rôle de la revue féministe Die Schwarze Botin dans le contexte du mouvement autonome des femmes en RFA. Par sa radicalité et son programme avant-gardiste, cette publication, parue entre 1976 et 1987, occupe une position presque unique au sein des aspirations féministes ouest-allemandes de cette époque. L’article met en lumière le rôle de Die Schwarze Botin en tant que contrepoint, ainsi que ses efforts pour créer une utopie esthétique de la négation. La revue permet de définir les contours des luttes féministes internes pour une ‘esthétique féminine’ et d’ajouter une composante centrale à l’historiographie de la théorisation féministe. Enfin, nous montrons dans quelle mesure Die Schwarze Botin peut être qualifiée d’intervention face à la marchandisation des préoccupations féministes, ce qui fait d’elle un projet authentiquement avant-gardiste.‪

‪This article examines the role of the feminist magazine Die Schwarze Botin in the context of the autonomous women’s movement in West Germany. With its radicalism and avant-garde program, the publication, which appeared between 1976 and 1987, occupied an almost unique position within West German feminist efforts of the time. The article highlights the role of the Schwarze Botin as a counterpoint and its efforts to create an aesthetic utopia of negation. On the basis of the magazine, the inner-feminist struggles for a ‘female aesthetic’ are outlined and a central component is added to the historiography of feminist theory formation. Last but not least, it is shown to what extent Die Schwarze Botin can be described as an intervention against the commodification of feminist concerns, which characterizes it as a genuinely avant-garde project.‪

Der vorliegende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der Rolle der feministischen Zeitschrift Die Schwarze Botin im Kontext der Autonomen Frauenbewegung in der BRD. Die zwischen 1976 und 1987 erscheinende Publikation nimmt mit ihrer Radikalität und avantgardistischen Programmatik nahezu eine Alleinstellung innerhalb westdeutscher feministischer Bestrebungen dieser Zeit ein. Der Beitrag beleuchtet die Rolle der Schwarzen Botin als Kontrapunkt, sowie ihre Bemühungen um eine ästhetische Utopie der Negation. Anhand der Zeitschrift werden die innerfeministischen Kämpfe um eine ‚weibliche Ästhetik‘ konturiert und der Historiographie feministischer Theoriebildung eine zentrale Komponente hinzugefügt. Nicht zuletzt wird gezeigt, inwiefern Die Schwarze Botin als Intervention gegenüber einer Kommodifizierung feministischer Anliegen bezeichnet werden kann, was sie als genuin avantgardistisches Projekt kennzeichnet.
