La Paroisse universitaire qui réunit les enseignants catholiques de l’enseignement public a joué un rôle important dans le diocèse de Besançon, terre de chrétienté fervente mais républicaine et patriote. Ses membres ont été à la pointe de l’ aggiornamento du monde catholique à partir de 1945, que ce soit avec l’acceptation définitive du principe de laïcité à l’école, le ralliement à des partis de gauche, et sur le terrain spécifiquement religieux, avec la liturgie et l’œcuménisme. Cette étude, au plus près du terrain, s’attachera surtout à reconstituer la formation des groupes d’instituteurs et d’institutrices catholiques au sein de l’enseignement public et leurs relations avec leurs collègues de l’enseignement secondaire et supérieur.

‪The Paroisse universitaire, which brings together Catholic teachers from the public education system, played an important role in the diocese of Besançon, a land of fervent Christianity but which was also republican and patriotic. Its members were at the forefront of the aggiornamento of the Catholic from 1945 onwards, whether with the definitive acceptance of the principle of secularism at school, the rallying to left-wing parties, and, in the religious field specifically, with liturgy and ecumenism. This study, which is as close as possible to the field, will focus on reconstructing the formation of groups of Catholic primary school teachers in the public education system and their relations with their colleagues in secondary and higher education.‪
