S’inspirant de l’article d’André Green sur « La Mère Morte », et du concept de « l’introjection » de Sandor Ferenczi, elle décrit comment l’identification à une mère dépressive, indisponible à cause d’un deuil non fait, amène l’enfant à développer des stratégies de colmatage pour faire face aux difficultés des processus de maturation du Moi.

Peter Pan, the Dead Mother and the creation of the pathological double Summary : The author refers to the myth of Peter Pan, the boy who would not grow up, to explore the creation of « a pathological double ». Inspired by André Green’s article on the « Dead Mother » and with reference to Sandor Ferenczi’s concept of « introjection » she describes how the identification with a depressed mother, unable to mourn, leads the child to develop psychic strategies to compensate for difficulties in the maturation processes of the ego.
