RésuméCet article commence par faire le point sur les derniers stades du face à face entre Ricœur et White autour de la question de l’écriture du réel. Il esquisse ensuite une histoire des liens entre l’histoire et les genres littéraires, pour envisager l’écriture d’une histoire « indisciplinée », en interaction avec le registre des émotions. Ce registre ne permet pas en effet d’établir une ligne de démarcation entre littérature fictionnelle et factuelle. L’article évoque ensuite les contacts actuels de la théorie littéraire avec l’histoire, via le New Historicism et le projet d’une corporeal narratology. La conclusion considère des mondes textuels émergents : l’ère digitale annonce de nouveaux modes d’écriture du réel et du fictionnel, notions qui auront à s’affronter au virtuel.

This article begins by summarizing the last stages of the debate between Ricœur and White on the subject of reality writing. It then depicts a history of the links between history and literary genres, and considers the writing of an « undisciplined » history interacting with emotions. Indeed, emotional language does not allow the establishment of a line of demarcation between fictional and factual literature. The article also describes the present contacts between literary theory and history via the New Historicism and the corporeal narratology project. The conclusion considers emerging textual worlds : the digital age predicts new types of reality and fictional writing, which will have to come to terms with the virtual.
