Dans les espaces ruraux pampéens, l’agriculture familiale et l’organisation sociale et économique locale au niveau du village seraient depuis une quinzaine d’années menacées d’être remplacées par un modèle mondialisé et aterritorial d’agriculture financière liée au soja. Pourtant ce n’est pas la première période d’insertion brutale d’un modèle économique mondialisé dans l’histoire des espaces ruraux pampéens. Au-delà du phénomène dit de sojización, cet article propose un modèle géographique de transformation de l’organisation de ces espaces afin de mieux comprendre les processus sociogéographiques à l’œuvre. La notion de « pacte territorial » et l’analyse des différentes dimensions de l’activité humaine appliquée à l’agriculture sont mobilisées au long de quatre parties retraçant les grandes étapes de construction/déconstruction/reconstruction du territoire. La conclusion aboutit sur une représentation permettant de suivre les transformations et de définir les enjeux actuels de développement rural de ces espaces extrêmement dynamiques.

Transformations of the Pampa rural space and globalization It is assumed that in the Pampa rural space, family farming and local socio-economic organization at the village level are under threat of substitution by a global non-territorial model of financial agriculture linked to the strong rapid expansion of soya. Thus it is supposedly an historical transformation of the rural world of the Pampa. Nevertheless it is not the first time that a global economic model has been abruptly inserted in the history of these rural spaces. Beyond the phenomenon known as “sojización”, this paper proposes a geographical model of the great changes occurring in the organization the Pampa rural spaces, aiming at understanding the deep sociogeographical processes at work. The notion of “territorial pact” and analysis of the different dimensions of farming-related human activity, are called upon, in the four parts of this paper, tracing the different phases of construction/deconstruction and reconstruction of the territory. In conclusion it a theoretical representation is proposed that allows monitoring of transformations and definition of the rural development issues at stake for these extremely dynamic spaces.
