Jean Carbonnier a publié dans L’Année sociologique des écrits majeurs au premier rang desquels figure un fameux article « Effectivité et ineffectivité de la règle de droit » (Carbonnier, 1958 a). Auteur de notes et de comptes rendus, il a éclairé, en termes de sociologie, les relations du droit avec la théologie, la logique, la science politique, le droit comparé et la sociologie législative. Sa participation à la vie de la Revue comme chroniqueur, directeur ou membre du Comité directeur éclaire et complète une œuvre essentielle.

Jean Carbonnier has published major works in the L’Année sociologique, including the famous article « Effectivness and ineffectivness of the rule of law » (Carbonnier, 1958 a). Author of notes and book reviews, he has highlighted, in sociological terms, the connections between law and theology, logic, political science, comparative law, and legislative sociology. His participation in the life of the Revue as chronicler, director or member of the directorial Committee brings to light and complements an essential body of works.
