Le rapport des mathématiciens aux écrits de leur discipline est complexe puisqu’il dépend, outre du contenu factuel, d’éléments programmatiques et prospectifs qu’une approche des textes conçue sur un mode classique peine à dégager. L’herméneutique philosophique post-heideggérienne nous semble offrir tout un ensemble d’outils conceptuels à même de renouveler profondément la compréhension de ce qu’est une lecture mathématique.

Mathematics and HermeneuticsBesides their actual content (theorems, proofs...), the reading of mathematical writings depends on complex issues such as underlying programmatic views or prospects of future developments. These issues can hardly be taken into account methodologically in a satisfactory way. However, the post-heideggerian philosophical hermeneutics offers various conceptual tools that are relevant to these matters and provides new insights into the very nature of the reading of mathematics.
