Un nouveau contrat de « vraie » adoption provenant de Nuzi

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2020. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This paper presents the first edition of a document from Nuzi, currently kept in the British Museum of London, under the signature BM 17605 (CDLI no. P469213). It clearly constitutes an adoption contract and specifically a contract of “genuine adoption”, much more less common than the well-known “pseudo-adoption” contracts, so numerous in the sources from the Kingdom of Arrapḫe. The specific nature of the document, the clauses and the identity of the contracting parties are thoroughly discussed, as well as the presence of other prominent figures in the life of Nuzi during the first half of the 14th century BC.
