Le groupe thérapeutique gestaltiste est un laboratoire complexe et paradoxal où les valeurs sociales à la fois perdurent et évoluent et où le thérapeute met implicitement en œuvre une vision politique. Mettant en parallèle le fonctionnement des groupes avec le champ social contemporain des années 80 puis d’aujourd’hui, l’auteur souligne l’intérêt de mettre en concordance les valeurs réglant le fonctionnement groupal avec le renouvellement du sens de la thérapie. Cela le conduit à présenter brièvement la façon dont il procède aujourd’hui et qu’il appelle Gestalt-thérapie PAR le groupe.

By making parallels between the workings of groups and the social field in the Eighties and today, the author emphasises the importance of connecting the values that underpin group functioning with the renewal of the meaning of therapy. This leads him to briefly present the way he works with groups today - what he calls Gestalt therapy BY the group.
